KIDS'PARADE

Ages for parade are infant through 6th grade. Parade will form at the lot opposite the First Knox parking lot on First St., proceed south down Chestnut St.,left onto College and turning left on Main Street. The parade will conclude at the stage. Registration begins at 5:15 p.m. You must be registered by 5:45 to be eligible for judging. PRE-REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE on-line. If you pre-register you do not need to be there until 5:45. Judging starts promptly at 5:45 p.m. Parade starts at 6:30 p.m. Little Miss Tomato will be the parade marshal.
Three prizes will be awarded in each category except Director’s Award.

Baby’s birthday must be between September 1, 2007 and February 1, 2008.
Age groups: 7 - 8 months, 9 - 10 months, 11 - 12 months
Please register 1/2 hour prior the contest in front of the stage.
Prizes will be awarded to the first three babies to win in their age group.

LITTLE MISS TOMATO

August 24th is the deadline for registration to be in the contest. Little girls must be 6 years of age as of September 1, 2008 to qualify. PARTICIPANT MUST BE A FREDERICKTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT RESIDENT WHO PHYSICALLY LIVES WITHIN THE DISTRICT OR CURRENTLY ATTENDS FREDERICKTOWN SCHOOLS.
If you are interested in entering the contest, please pick up an entry form at First-Knox National Bank, 37 North Main Street, Fredericktown. You can also print out an entry form from this web site.

EACH CONTESTANT IS ASKED TO WEAR A LONG RED DRESS.
Judging (by out-of-town judges) will be based on a two minute interview, poise and appearance.

All contestants may walk in Thursday’s Kids’ Parade and will have the opportunity to ride on a beautiful, customized float in Saturday’s parade.

BIG WHEEL RACES

CREATIVE LIP SYNC

Carefully read the following if you are interested in participating.

On Thursday, September 4th at 7:00, a Lip Sync Contest will be held for age groups:
16 years of age and older (adults)
12 through 15 years of age
9 through 11 years of age
0 through 8 years of age
The 16 years and older age group may pre-register by calling Chris Well at 694-7485 or register on the evening of the event at 6:30 p.m. in front of the First Knox National Bank.

Try-outs for the 0 through 8 years, 9 through 11 years, and 12 through 15 years of age categories will be held on Saturday, August 30 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Fredericktown Primary School Commons area (Use the back door.). This will be the only way for 0 - 15 years of age participants to register. There will be no walk-ons during the Tomato Show.

Participants must bring their music selection on tape or CD and their costumes to the tryout. A tape/cd player will be provided. Participants may be asked to perform the entire 3 minute entry. Come prepared to do so if requested.

For the Thursday evening contest, participants will limit their performance to 3 minutes. Participants must provide a tape or CD of their music selection Ready to Play. A tape/CD player will be provided.

The committee reserves the right to split or combine classes according to the number of entries. The number of entries in each may also be limited. The order of the performances is at the discretion of the committee. In duet and group entries, the entry will compete in the category of the oldest member of the group/duet.
Please Note: Individuals under 16 years old may participate in one performance in a solo/duet and one performance in group. Those 16 years and older may participate in more than one group.

Scoring will be based on a scale of 40 points: creativity/originality for 20 points; appearance for 10 points; and lip sync for 10 points. Prizes will be awarded for the first four places in each class:
Groups: 1st = $60.00 ; 2nd = $35.00 ; 3rd = $20.00 ; 4th = $10.00
Solo/Duets : 1st = $40.00 ; 2nd = $20.00 ; 3rd = $10.00 ; 4th = $5.00

TOMATO TOSS

Come join in the fun at the Fredericktown Tomato Show’s annual Tomato Toss. You will need to grab a partner because this is a two-person event. Both participants need to be at least 18 years of age. The Tomato Toss will take place following the Bathtub Races on Saturday evening, at approximately 7:00, in front of the Leve-Agriman Elevator. Due to time restrictions, there will be a limited number of entries. Things may get messy so dress accordingly. Rain ponchos will be available. One person will launch the tomato and the partner will try to catch the tomato. Contestants, will have up to two minutes to launch a total of up to 10 tomatoes. The team with the most tomatoes caught in the shortest amount of time will win. The number of teams may be limited due to time constraints.

1st place - $100.00
2nd place - $50.00
Pre-registration is at 6:30 near Leve-Agriman.

TOMATO BULLSEYE
Saturday following the Tomato Toss


Returning this year is the Tomato Bullseye Competition. Contestants will use the tomato slingshot launcher to shoot a tomato at a target. They will be given one practice shot and then "one for the money". This is a one person game and will be played as long as tossers, tomatoes, and time permits. The event will start immediately following the Tomao Toss.

BATHTUB RACES
Saturday at 5:30

Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
Location: North Main Street in front of Feed Mill
Registration at 5:00 p.m.
Rules:
1. The Fair Board will furnish the bathtubs.
(The same tubs will be used in all three classes)
2. There shall be no more than three team members, (2) pushers (1) driver.
3. Driver must have a valid driver’s license.
4. Driver must wear a helmet.
5. All races in a class will be timed and this will determine the winner.
6. Fair Board is not responsible for accidents.
Any additional rules for drivers will be given before the race.

Class I: Women Only, Any Age
Class II: 25 and Older, Men and Women
Class III: 25 and Under Men and Women* (* at least one member under 25)
Class IV: Minister Challenge (Minister must be in the tub. Pushers must be Church Members.)

PRIZE MONEY
$100 1st place in each class

$50 for the over-all fastest time

5 MILE RUN
