The Fredericktown Tomato Show is a community street fair that has something for everyone in the family to enjoy. There are exhibits by our citizens, parades, rides, a craft show, and of course, fair food. You can take part in many activies: play Bingo, run in a 5-mile race, bid on a commemorative Fredericktown plate, or just sit back and enjoy the entertainment. The Tomato Show is always held the Wednesday through Saturday after Labor Day.
Fredericktown is located north of Mount Vernon in northwestern Knox County, just 10 miles east of Interstate 71 on State Route 95.

Plenty of parking is available in our community parks, school parking lots, or along the streets. Merrin Park is off Sandusky St. (Rt. 95) between Rt. 13 and the bandstand. Sockman Park is north of town on Rt. 95. A shuttle runs from the Merrin Park area from the corner of Oak and Long Streets (between the Library and the High School) over to Chestnut St. (behind the bank) and back to the Library via Mulberry St. The shuttle will run from 6pm - 11pm on Friday, and 3pm - midnight on Saturday.
The Fredericktown Tomato Show has several exhibits that showcase the work of our citizens. Be sure to look at the vegetables, baked goods, canned goods, and of course tomato products in the tents behind the Senior Citizens Building. Needlework and photography are in the Senior Citizens Building. Next door in the Masonic Hall are the flowers and artistic flower arrangements. There is also a tent with displays from Knox County Merchants. Look for the numbers on the Tomato Show Map.

The Fredericktown Tomato Show Parade is a family favorite featuring bands, youth groups, floats, horses, fire trucks, and much more.
The 1.8 mile route includes tents along the business area of South Main Street so that you can enjoy the parade without sitting in the sun.
The parade will take place on Saturday September 6, leaving the Fredericktown
Police Department at 12:30. Participants will cross through South
Main onto Miami Avenue turning right on to Columbus Road and up
past the high school. At the split by the high school, the parade will veer right and
stay on Columbus Road. When the parade gets to Main Street, it will turn
right and stay on Main Street back to the Police Department.
